We are living through a backwards period of history, both in the external political climate and in personal life. Society seems to be inching ever-closer to authoritarianism and collectivism, while individuals are told that they are personally responsible to act against their own best interests. Wokeness and corporatized socialism seems to be replacing capitalism and individualism before our very eyes. Basic human needs and instincts like hanging out with friends, doing what’s best for yourself and your company, speaking to people face-to-face, going outside to see the sunshine, comedy, personal privacy, personal mobility in the form of travel etc. are…

So if you’ve spent any time online in the past year or so, you will have heard the “culture appropriation” argument, which, upon first glance, seems like it could be a good thing. The culture appropriation argument comes into play whenever someone, be it an actor, a comedian, a social media netizen etc. utilizes something from a historically oppressed or minority culture. The argument is that such a person has no right to “appropriate” a culture other than their own, as this is seen as “colonialism” and “culture imperialism”. …

Real News about Fake News³ regarding Fake News which was actually Fake Fake News masquerading as mere Fake News¹ which was actually Real News

I can’t believe I just wrote that subtitle.

I came across an interesting article today regarding an April Fool’s prank played by the popular messaging app, Discord. There had been rumors recently that Microsoft is trying to acquire Discord. Bloomberg and the WSJ had reported on this story and claim that the deal is currently being negotiated.

Today, on April Fool’s, a video was circulating that appeared to be from the official Discord YouTube channel. The video’s thumbnail contained the Microsoft logo, and the tagline was “Announcing Partnership With Microsoft.” …

Similar to why the Left likes AOC and Bernie

I’m sure this is a controversial opinion to take on this particular site, to say the least. But I’d like to go through some of the more personal reasons as to why I like Trump. I’m not going to be addressing his policies, enough people have done that already, and have done far better jobs than I could ever do. I’m going to talk about what goes through my mind when I see him speak. I may fanboy a little bit, or a lot, and for that I apologize in advance. …

Trump supporters feel oppressed by the Left’s tactics

So I had this idea. Why should conservatives attack the left with sound arguments and logic, when it would be far more interesting to just use emotion and shaming instead? Logic is so outdated, and moral consistency is clearly old-fashioned. Generalizations and conflations are much more popular nowadays. So I thought it would be interesting to try and use those tactics against their own popularizers. I’m going to do my very best (it doesn’t come naturally) to make you, the reader, feel personally attacked by the sheer “violence” of my words. Maybe then you will understand what Trump supporters go…

Don’t trust any tech unless you know how it works

Recent events have highlighted once again the need for a private, yet free Internet where one feels capable of expressing themselves without fear and without censorship.

Here are my favorite tools that can help you do that.

Equal condemnation of extremes is the only option for civilized society

I will be the first to condemn the violence against policemen and the injuries inflicted. I will also be the first to lament the unnecessary deaths of 4 protesters and 1 cop. Every single major conservative commentator and politician has condemned these things. The desecration of our hallowed halls of democracy was disgraceful and highly embarrassing to almost every person watching.

However. The time for embarrassment on behalf of the right is over. It is now the time for strength, and reasoned questions. Who was the person who was shot? Who was she shot by, and why? Will the left…

Both sides are guilty of fearmongering and clickbait

I’m getting so very very tired of politics. I’m getting so very tired of the mudslinging and the fearmongering that goes on on both sides of the aisle. I am an avid conservative, just getting that out of the way first. I am tired of living in fear of those who will hate me for my views. I am tired of being afraid of being cancelled. I am tired of clickbait and ragebait. I am tired of being outraged. I am tired of being addicted to outrage. I am tired of being afraid of haters in the comments section. And…

Saying these things can get you fired, cancelled, censored and occasionally killed.

This past year, we have seen censorship and “cancel culture” ramped up exponentially, both online and offline. Apparently some extremely “tolerant” people really don’t like it when other people disagree with them…

As 2020 comes to a close, I have compiled an incomplete, slightly tongue-in-cheek list of some statements that can get you: cancelled, censored, stared at, fired, your posts deleted, and, on multiple occasions, shot at and killed.

Offend the “tolerant left” at your own risk, and enjoy those leftist tears! ;)

With apologies to Nancy Pelosi. Actually, nah, no apologies to Nancy Pelosi.

1. There are two genders…

That’s a lot of ‘P”’s.

I want to get this out of the way first. If you’re my friend, and then you announce one day that you’re trans, and it clearly means a lot to you if I call you by a specific pronoun, then I will try to do so. This essay therefore does not reflect how I would behave with people I know.

Regardless, there seems to be increasing push among employers, governments, social media users, and the media to normalize and mainstream everything to do with pronouns. For example, my own employee database program was recently updated…
